If you are an RPG fan looking for a good story. You've found it.

I have been playing this game for almost a month now. Having spent more than 50 hours on it so far, I dare say that this game surely has a good storyline to follow. The game is loosely based on the book of the same title written by the Polish fantasy writer Andrzej Sapkowski. I have read the book and I highly recommend anybody who has an interest in fantasy with a political twist to give this book a go.

Anyway, I digressed. The game's graphics are competent, but not the best of its time. Some of the background sceneries look rather polygonal, but the characters are drawn with great details and are definitely the highlight of this game's graphics. Even without the nude patch (where 3 of the main female characters have been painted over with a nude mesh), the game exhibits plenty of nudity (female busts especially), which makes it not so PG-friendly.

You will be roaming the wilds in the game with beautifully composed soundtracks playing in the background that change with each area you stumble across.

Combat in this game moved away from the traditional hack 'n' slash style. Instead, it lets you play out fighting combos that you can chain up to increase damage or to inflict various physical effects such as bleeding and pain on your enemies - humans or otherwise.

The story is what makes this game headline-worthy. Besides the usual adventures and monstering slaying side-quests, the main storyline gradually progresses into a dark political turmoil that is both unpredicable and refreshing. You are a witcher, a genetically modified human who has superhuman powers. Your job in life is to kill monsters for a living. It's all good and rosy until your home's destroyed by a mysterious organization with an obscure secret. You set out to discover the reason for the attack and you find yourself entangled in a destiny that you cannot deny.

I highly recommend this game to any RPG fan. Get it from Steam or your local game store. It's worth the money and will keep you company for hours to come.
