this game is different from any other games I've played so far, and i love this game. also, i have to say this game is very beautiful, and it is like a piece of art; and so far this is the first time i thought a game this way. in this past week, i spend 50+ hr on it, and i thought this game required a lot of patients, and some brain work since not all quests are straight forward. i feel like i experienced this more, since i played this game though without looking up anything on the internet, which is a first. right now the only thing on my mind is this game is amazing!

I played it about a year ago for the first time as well, and liked it quite a bit. I'm replaying it now, and trying to do the witcher(neutral) path, after having done the Scoia'tel path my first time through. It seems harder to side with the Order, seeing how all of the non-humans are generally mistreated.
I'm also doing some grinding this time, to try to get to level 50 by the end. It's really not necessary (and a bit time consuming), but it's something different to try, seeing as I only got 8 or 9 gold talents my first time through.

We were going full speed ahead... but facing backwards the whole time.

I tried it a long time ago and threw it in my junk/finished folder on my hdd
I didn't get much further than chapter 1. The combat system was too retarded (always play hard).
Got bored recently and picked it out to try again. Cheated a bit to give myself a maxed out igni and stacking inventory and basically just skipped combat fireballing everything that pops up.
Feel like smacking myself for not giving it a go earlier. Great story, unique especially in that it isn't the safe industry standard approach/censored to achieve this rating,etc..
Sidequests were fun but too fetchy. Too much backtracking (much more so in tw1). A fast travel to discovered locations would be a nice addition to the map/meditation menu..maybe in tw3. I played scoia'tel path in tw1.
I bought the witcher 2 right after. Much shorter but richer. Combat was proper, sidequests ceased to be fetch except some harpy feathers which..hehe you won't mind. UI a lot better.
Played lorveth path on that, considering playing again on roche for the flipside story but I trashed my act1 decision time save.
2 is a good price now on gog. Money well spent. Mass effect, dragon age, whatver those series can do whatever they want. Witcher 3 is where all my anticipation is now.
