Beautiful expansive world, but a tad clunky and lengthy.

User Rating: 8 | The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PC

Witcher 3 has by far one of the most beautiful and expansive worlds, with tonnes of characters and story to keep you from only progressing on your main quest. Whether you want to or not. And as someone who was in the shoes of Geralt on the hasty quest to save his daughter-figure. I grew slightly frustrated with the "your princess is in another castle" progression that became the conclusion to every area and chapter of the game.

The combat itself also has its issues, not that I expected Project Red to re-invent the wheel. But in a game with so much combat, that you'd expect to have a very well functioning system. Then I've struggled to find the difficulty balance between where the potions and oils I craft feel relevant and where the few issues I experience during combat become too punishing and create frustrating setbacks.

But this is all smaller issues and nitpicks that I experienced in my playthrough. I still overall loved my time with the game and deeply respect what Project Red accomplished with this title.
