One of the best games of this closing generation.

User Rating: 10 | The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings PC
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is near beyond words. Describing it one sentence; The Witcher 2 is how a game should be made.

Graphics:
9.75/10

While not perfect, the minor inconsistencies are easily forgotten by the pure beauty of the world. Textures are a beautiful 2048x2048, and hardly diminished by walking up close. Lighting is great, if not a bit overused and shadows aren't pixilated which a nice surprise to see in a game. The overall graphics were amazing to behold in the eyes of any new player.

Gameplay:
10/10

The gameplay was great; a perfect mix between story, character development, combat and great graphics. Everything required to make a good game. Throughout the game Geralt is forced to make choice, including hard ones that alter the way the story plays out. Choosing one will take you to places and events that differ from whichever one chosen. This concept exceeds in this game better than it has in any other I have played (Dragon Age, Mass Effect) because everything goes in real depth and I can tell a lot of effort was put into cause and effect.

The last great thing about gameplay is, while demanding The Witcher 2 is optimized very well.

Pros:
---Graphics, story, choices matter, overall gameplay

Cons:
---I encountered a glitch or bug that forced the game to be played on the lowest settings possible and could not be change. I had to uninstall the game, wait for Steam to re-download and install 15 gigabytes of data and finally get back into the game. While a great inconvenience, the wait was worth it.

Overall:
----9.8/10----

Make sure to play through the Witcher 1 before you get into this game. While minor, your choices in the original game do matter in this sequel.
