If you're a fan of the movie, this is an absolute must-play. Even if you're not, it holds enough merits of its own....

If you are looking for a brutal, no holds barred beat 'em up showdown, look no further.....The Warriors will fulfill your needs.

The fighting hits hard and feels great, and boy is it brutal, and I LOVE IT. Each Warrior has his own unique fighting style with his own specific move set, though the button inputs for the combos are the same and fairly simplistic.

As far as the graphics go, they are showing their age. Muddy textures, no facial expressions, basic lip-syncing and simplistic models stick out more than ever. If I could choose one game to be remade for the current gen, this one would be near the top of my list. Individually a lot of these visual elements are bad , however together it's not too bad and does not affect the game in any negative way.

The sound is a different matter altogether. The musical selection sets the mood perfectly and remains faithful to the movie, and the sound effects are perfect in all situations. Fighting sounds so good and impactful it's painful to hear.

One thing that drove me nuts about this game was the camera. It's all over the place when brawling. Backing the camera off your character helps a bit, but a large majority of the time I had to control it manually to see where I was and who I was fighting. This is by far my biggest complaint towards The Warriors, and it's one that unfortunately diminishes the enjoyment a little bit.

Even with these flaws, The Warriors is great. Check it out.
