Expanding on The Warriors background and bringing in most of the original cast makes this the best movie game yet.

User Rating: 9.5 | The Warriors PSP
The Warriors is one of my most favorite movies of all time. The acting was well done, the story was good (if not rather simplistic) and the various gangs were entertaining and (in the case of the Baseball Furies and the Hi-Hats) rather amusing. So to learn that a game was out that had the Rockstar logo on it, how could one not be overjoyed? Here's the rundown.

CONCEPT--. Take one of the 70s best gang flicks and expand on the background while successfully telling the original story.

GRAPHICS--8.0. The environments are beautifully dirty and depressing. The character models, for the most part, look fine, but the faces could've used some work, especially with lip syncing.

SOUND--9.5. The musical score is brilliant and perfectly matches the situation. The original cast returns to voice their parts, and new characters are voiced well, but fans of the movie will notice who isn't returning.

PLAYABILITY--10. The controls feel perfect and putting up burners becomes second nature after a while.

ENTERTAINMENT--9.0. You'll enjoy almost every second of this game. However, overly hard sequences mar this otherwise perfect game. The fact that the story ends isn't very good either.

REPLAY VALUE--High. You'll start the story over the second you beat it.

OVERALL--9.5.

Whether you're a fan of the original or just looking for a good old fashioned beat-em-up, this is must have game.
