Slow plot progression, but great choices make this episode almost as good as the previous one.

User Rating: 8 | The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode 2 - A House Divided PS3

Just like In my season two episode one review I will review only the story and how it made me feel when I was playing and obviously the way they executed it in the game. I will say the first episode was much more interesting for me but in this one their our some really difficult choices to make but the story as I said in my opinion was not as enjoyable as the last episode.

(Spoiler Alert)The episode starts out with the character you ran off with in the last episode, I chose Nick so thats the story I will stay with. Nick and Clementine will hide in a shed from the walkers nick puts a crate between the door, which means they are going to be their for the night. Nick ends up finding whiskey in the shed and starts drinking he gets drunk and starts throwing bottles at the wall Clementine convinces him that it was not his fault that Pete died and he goes out of the shed to distract the walkers to come after him, and tell Clementine to run away. Clementine makes it to the cabin and talks with the group and tells them what happened, the group tell Clementine That Luke and Alvin went looking for them but never came back. They go looking for them and ask Clementine to keep an eye on Sarah When Clementine goes to look after her she takes a picture of Clementine(This may not seem important right now but we will get to it). She asks Clementine if she will teach her how to use a gun and you can decide to teach her or not, after this Clementine sees someone approaching the cabin before she has a chance to lock the door he comes in. Sarah notices that it is Carver and hides. he just barges in and searches the whole cabin luckily he does not find Sarah but he does end up finding her picture from when you guys were taking pictures together, Clementine covers her tracks and say that it was probably from some people who stayed here before. Carver leaves and says to not be to trusting to the group she was in. Rebecca and Carlos, return with Luke and Alvin. They talk about what happen and this is when your first decision comes into play. They ask whos fault the picture was, yours or Sarahs, and I chose Sarahs cause I mean technically it was her fault, nothing big will effect this decision. After this the group is pretty sure its Carver and choose to pack up and leave, and look for some other place. As they travel they run into a bridge, Clementine and Luke decide to clear it to make sure that it is safe and after a breif Zombie attack they run into someone with a gun he dosen't mention his name yet,(which we will get to in a second) Luke, Clementine and this guy lower their weapons after they calm down and he offers them food and supply, as Clementine and Luke are just about to decide if they trust this guy trigger happy Nick decides to shoot him and he dies, Nick claims that he thought he was going to kill them but again Nick dosen't think before he acts. After this the group finds a ski resort. They tell Clementine to look up top of something to see if she sees any sight of Carver or his gang, and as she is about to get down and tell them they are fighting with another group, Clementine goes into the front of the group to notice and old freind, you know who that old freind is? it's Kenny, I think anybody who played this game knows how shocking this moment was, but for me I just don't know how he could of possibly survived, but hey it's incredible nonetheless. After this Kenny invites you in and they let you stay with them. They make dinner and this is where your next big choice is you can either sit with Kenny's group or the regular group you have been in, The majority of you sat with Kenny, but I chose to sit with the regular group and I'll tell you why, it's great to see Kenny again sure, but he wasn't neccesarily the most nicest guy of the bunch and he did make some dopy decisions in the first one. This choice was honestly one of the hardest one in the series yet, but I just felt like the group has been their for me and while it's nice to see Kenny he wasen't always the most level headed dude. After this Clementine, Walter, and Kenny will see a woman peering into the resort, she claims that she her family is very hungry and was wondering if you could spare any food, you have the choice of saying yes or no, but this decision will have no major effect but this part will be another key part of the story later. After this Luke tells Clementine to come talk to him immidiatley. before I talk about this part in the story I wanted to mention that Walter keeps metioning that they are waiting for someone named Matthew. Now continuing on where I left off that is what Luke has to talk about he finds a picture of Kennys whole group together, and it includes the guy Nick shot when they went through the bridge, this is supposed to be the Matthew they are talking about. Luke tells Clementine to get her weapons just in case but when Clementine goes to get them she notices that they are gone. She goes outside to see that Walter has her knife and thats when your next big choice comes up. He asks if Nick killed Matthew, you can lie or tell the truth I told the truth, this might rectify the situation for you next big choice which is trying to convice Walter that Nick is a good man, this choice is basically right after the choice to tell the truth or lie, I convinced him and because of this Nick survived, but if you don't convince Walter Nick will die, because Walter will refuse to help him when Walkers attack him. After this one of the windmill's stars going out of control attracting walkers Clementine and Kenny shut it down, and as they our fighting off the walkers a group starts firing at them. It's Carver, and some of his group also with the one women you gave food too, he puts everyone on the ground besides, Alvin, Clementine, and Rebecca who are hiding, and Kenny who is hiding somewhere. This is your last big choice in the episode you can choose to surrender in hopes that Carver wont hurt anyone anymore, or you can choose to escape from the sitituation, I chose to surrender because I knew Kenny would try and get them and I was worried Carver would have killed Carlos. if you do this Walter will die on either choice so you will lose him anyways, but you will also lose Alvin if you choose this choice because Kenny will keep firing at them causing them to seek revenge on Alvin. if you chose to escape you could tell Kenny to stop shooting and Alvin would be spared. After this all over Luke is nowhere to be found so Carver thinks he ran away to save himself, he then takes the rest of the group back to his camp, and thats the end of the episode.

Overall episode 2 was pretty good I felt like it didn't have much of a plot progression though, it may feel slower then episode one, however I will say their our definitely some great moments in this season, obviously Kenny being alive for one, and also a lot of people you can save in this one, and The choices mean a lot more in this episode also considering that you can lose more people if you don't choose the right decision which is nice, but like I said their isn't much direction in this episode and that's what I feel holds this episode back from the previous one, it's got great moments but not much to move forward with. In my opinion this might not be as great as episode one of season two but it does have its moment and has its own notable singular moments that make this another episode worth getting.
