Everyone keeps calling the ending of this season a cliffhanger with us being unsure of whether the two figures were Omid and Christa or walkers. But maybe the developers left it up to our imaginations on purpose to give Clementine our own ending. It happens a lot. We don't NEED to find out what happens. We just have to hope for the best. Isn't hope all the characters in the game are given?

This isn't the ending. There's a season 2 coming out

That is certainly possible, but I think it's more likely that it will get resolved in season 2, at some point.

Season 2 does not have to pick up where season 1 left off.

Doesn't have to, and personally I hope it doesn't because I don't mind ambiguous endings if they're done okay. We don't need to know every single facet of the story, and open endings were once actually nifty ways to end the story instead of just stupid sequel hooks, but that was back when people told stories because they wanted to tell stories, not because money is everything.
Season 2 probably will pick up with Clem, but I'd dig another group picking it up instead.

My problem is more that I don't think it's a good open ending if it's left there. If that is last we see of Clementine they should have just left it with the final moments with Lee.
Personally I think the best way to handle it would be to start out with a new group that runs into Clem at some in a later episode. Clem shouldn't be the focus of the game again, but I would like to see more of her.

I agree with you, actually. I was more defending open endings in general, whereas this one made it feel kind of obvious that Clementine is going to carry the torch into season 2. Which I don't personally agree with.

I am in complete agreement with this.

I mock all DBZ characters equally.
