Did the game ever show anyone "turn" from JUST a bite?

Now that I think of it, I don't recall anyone turning from just a bite. Sure, zombies have caused people to turn, but only from actually killing them by like ripping off their head. I think you only turn if you die and a bite only causes you to become very sick or doesn't do anything at all. Duck was never shown to turn even though he was bitten, he only got sick. He might have gotten sick from lack of food/water, etc.
This could mean that Lee has hope to survive.

Lee's *****ed.
People who think he won't die are in denial. in TWD lore only a very quick amputation can save a bite victim and that time has passed for Lee since they went all through the sewers without cutting his arm off. Any other wild theories or ideas to save him won't happen because there are no other solutions in the comics yet, and they are not gonna randomly find a cure or another way in the game before the comic does, it would ruin the game, and Robert Kirkman's world, he even stated that while the bites aren't what turns you, they are 100% lethal and will kill you, which is what turns you. If he turns out to be immune then it would ruin the game as well.
Now more on topic, I don't recall anyone actaully turning in the game, or comic. Usually they die before by mercy kill. Lee most likely won't turn, either he'll off himself once he gets Clem to safety, or have someone in the group do it, but my moneys on him staying behind to do it himself.

I think the bite just gives you some kind of infection that kills you. Dying causes you to turn. Maybe if you have strong enough antibiotics you might be able to cure infection and not turn.

I agree that it's simply an infection and technically speaking COULD be cured, but like I said Telltale is smarter then to do something like that before the comic book ever does. The whole game has been forshadowing Lee's death I really doubt they'd keep him alive.

Yeah the bite always leads to getting sick and you die from that.

Duck turns off screen and kills everyone in episode 3 if you fail to get Kenny to stop the train.
Oct 28, 2012 8:43 am GMT
Doesn't Duck turn if you tell Kenny you'll shoot him but fail to act in time?
Oct 28, 2012 11:30 am GMT
And when you tell Kenny to do it but don't choose one of the next two lines. But he doesn't turn on screen, they just walk away leaving him in the woods.

Yes. Telltale calls it "Duck-pocalypse " or something like that.

I need to look at it again, but the wound looks so small that it looks like the walker only scratched or scraped him.
Yeah, Lee's probably dead, but I can also see them say he was only scratched if they get enough fan backlash against Lee dieing.
I like Lee, and wish it wasn't so, but I went in knowing he would die at the end. I think a lot of us did.

What backlash?
Most people are fine with it.
A scratch can kill you too this has been shown in TWD universe.

Don't take life too seriously. You'll never escape alive.

Cloud, it's a bite. Trust me. I thought the same. I assume you chose the " Not completely ******* stupid option" and interacted with the board rather than the walkie? That's what I did, both times I played it. However, if you chose the talking you clearly see the bite. The two wounds look identical too.
But it's expected. Though I'm a little surprised at how. Usually TWD likes to build the character up first, a good sign they'll be offed soon is that things start going well for them.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I checked the board. It honestly just looked like a scratch. Oh well. Like I said, I went in knowing Lee would die. I just thought it would be in a better way.

Haha yeah I read it in an interview. If you mess around and don't either reason or punch Kenny, you get kicked from the train, when you get back, Duck has turned and killed every one, and he jumps at you and kills you.
About the bite.
Everyone is infected, dying with the brain intact will turn you. Getting infected by anithing has strong chance of killing you simply because there are poor satinaty conditions, low medical supplies, and high stress generated by all around you.
Getting bitten will lead to a 100% fatal infection unless the body part is amputed right away. Unless they find a cure, you can't survive it. It's not a question of medical care. The bite doesn't turn you the virus that you are already infected with will, but the bite is a garanteed killer.
My best guess, would be that once you die and turn, the virus that infected you changes/mutates to make it easier to kill and turn others.
So... Lee is a goner. It's all about how tragic/heroic your Lee's end is

.
It's fine with me. Of there is a sappy happy ending here, it will devaluate all the tragic endings IMO. And this doesn't really have a place in such a story.

Yeah, and The Walking Dead is all about unhappy endings. Neither the comic, show, or game has actually come to an end, but so far everyone in them has suffered and lost those closest to them, expecting Lee and Clem to live 10-20 years killing walkers is impossible... they will eventually both die horrid deaths.

True. No happy endings in TWD. Everything is s*****. Once things start looking up for a person and they seem to be happy, that's when their death is more of an impact. Anyone can die at anytime, this makes it exciting and suspenseful. Though, I sometimes wish the deaths would be....better written.

At first I thought it was a dream or something. Is there anyway to NOT get bitten at that part?
My (crazy) theories.
Maybe the cure could have something to do with the person on the walkie. I highly doubt it but maybe there is someway.
The government may get involved and have a cure.
Lee could die at the end then wake up to find out the entire game was a dream and zombies never happened (would be the biggest troll game ever).
Lee turns and for the rest of the game you control him as a zombie.

Imo, the most likely of your suggestions is Lee turning/dying at the end. I actually think that's what we all expect.
As far as the cure, I don't see it. Recently at comic-con Kirkman was asked if we would ever find a cure and his answer was no. Or at least for the time being. Then again, when asked about the death of certain characters he mentioned, "If you can predict it will happen, odds are it won't because that means we already assumed it was to predictable". Or something similar.
But I don't know how much of a role he has in the game's story.
