Quick decisions and complicated relationships

User Rating: 10 | The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series PC
An adventure filled with decisions which affect events and the end game. I was very excited to play the next parts of the game once the game started to be more action oriented. The game offered me choices which were oftentimes a quick response to what's happening. The majority of the gameplay is about dialogues and relationships with characters. For example, you'll help someone who is attacked by a zombie, he'll return the favor. The game is also punishing for bad decisions. Everything has some resolution so you need to be tactical, though you don't have much time, because many crucial decisions come during action when it's on the edge of life. Will you save this one or another? What will you do, where will you go, what will you say or will you even do anything? Everything has some impact, however not always negative but not positive for everyone. That's why the game is based on the relationships that assist you to survive. But you can't save everyone. The game has some similarities with the TV series The Walking Dead, mostly the first series seem like the biggest inspiration and sometimes I said to myself "I thought so" or "haven't I played this before?". Despite all that it's not only a copy of the known series and you can find similarities between its characters, they're not the same and they don't end up the same, that is if you don't decide poorly and don't let them die. You can't always know how your choices affect the game, who gets hurt. You need to read the characters well or you need to play the second time. You also don't know which character wants to hurt you and is a burden. In the end I wasn't disappointed that I cooperated with bad characters because they helped me at least once to save the situation which could turn into some other story. The late game was exciting, full of choices again, they affected the outro. I recommend this to the fans of TV series as well as the others. It's your story, it's their story, it's not your story. You just roll the dice of destiny.
