I like the sims . The original sims is one of my favorite games of all times . The problem i had with this one , is that its just a different sims than the other versions . They whole way the controls move and the atmosphere of the sims look in this game is way different than the other sims . And for me it is a defenite let down . The graphics in this game are like " 1'st generation ps2 games " . The chacters look so ugly , I mean look at the black eyed peas members they look like other people . There aqre seriouse frame rate problems , really they are just horrible . The enviornments are nice looking . I really like how the objects look ( very detailed ) . The music you get in this game is music done by the black eyed peas . Straight up hip-hop , which is awsome . You will here great sound desing in this game , as well everything feels real . But there is one problem I had that I alwayse have with the sims games and yes its the voices of the persons . You get this giberish talking that really just gets anoying . Now yes it's going to take about 6 month's or so to get all the voices in , but comon take your time and do it . Maxis it isn't like its going to take you 1,0000000000000000000000 years to finish them all . The way this game play's is well ... not playing your average day sims on the pc . You mostly wont consentrate in building your dream home . Instead you will spend 90 % of the game going from city , to city . For people new to the sims this might be fun . But for me its just not fun at all . You will go to different places trying to complete task's in order to get new furniture for you home . This adds a little flavor into the game , but nothing inovative . You must also gain respect in the game ( also part of the task's ) . Which will then let you enter into better places and what not . You can shop for clothes , but wait . One of the things that bothered me in this game is that there is no cheat code >_< that is stupid . I mean it really is * glad I took that off my chest * . So this game isnt terrible , but in true honesty it really isnt that better than the original sims , or the sims 2 . If you like the sims , like me you might give itn a try . But if you want to start a whole new sims adventure pick up THE SIMS 2 , for the pc .
