User Rating: 9.7 | The Ultimate Stuntman NES
The Ultimate Stuntman is a game that wasn’t even licensed by Nintendo, so it comes in this gold cartridge. The story is Dr. Evil has kidnapped Jenny Aykroyd (horrible last name) and you got to go out and kill anyone that stands in you way, thugs, robots, the French Army. This game always keeps you guessing. You never know what you’re going to do next since the levels are always different. But this game is hard. For some strange reason, the game is in some sort of black frame and doesn’t take up the entire screen; I have no idea on why they did that but it’s just stupid. You get to do everything from driving a car going 100mph, to climbing up a building avoiding people throwing flower pots, or shooting random people like Contra. The graphics are great for an NES. The opening cut scene looks like a comic book. The frame rate is stable most of the time. Theirs a lot of awesome boss battles like a robot bending over, a giant pink eagle, a truck shooting barrels at you. The music makes you wish you had the song on you iPod. What I don’t like about this game is that it doesn’t have any password save; you have to buy a battery pack which was like a memory card in that time. Since the game is always changing, you have to learn what the controls are on your own. Over all this is a great game.
