wow, where do i start. so a few days ago, i downloaded the ultimate doom and doom 2 on steam, altogether that's $20. and let me just say, i was instantly HOOKED, people should do what i did to achieve the ultimate doom experience.
1)get those two games, not just this game, get both ultimate doom and doom 2. for $20 altogether, it's quite the bargain, plus you'll need doom 2 to play some cool mods.
2)get skulltag
skulltag basically lets you play doom online with other players. It also comes with doomseeker, which lets you instantly get the wads needed to play the server. And yes, this game was made in 1995 and is still played by people today, that's how awesome it is
3)Try some wads
WADS=MODS
and there's over a 100 doom wads out there, some even having different levels than doom. So getting a new wad is basically getting a doom game with new graphics and a new map pack for FREE, probly better than getting some crappy call of duty map pack with only 4 maps for $20
4)make your own wads?
that's right, there are wad creators out there and you could be one of them. It's pretty easy, just download a wad editor, look at some tutorials on youtube, and you're good to go.

and that's how you get the best out of doom. some people download doom for free, but i mean... come on. it wouldn't hurt to pay $20 to id software for this amazing game. now for some pros and cons

PROS:
Fun
Addicting(although, that might be a bad thing)
Smooth gameplay(even though the graphics aren't up to date, the game itself still runs very smoothly)
Wads
Good multiplayer(with skulltag)

CONS:
I thought for a good 5 minutes about this, and all i can really say is... there is none really
