Another holmes game another glitchy mess

I have to start this review out by saying I am a big time sherlock holmes fan. So when I see games coming out with him in it I want to get them. This company has come out with a lot of sherlock holmes games and overall they keep having the same problems with them. Its 2013 please try to fix it if you come out with a new game.
Not much can be said here except this is a game where you play sherlock holmes. A bishop (cardinal whatever religious person) is killed and you have to investigate. I really do not want to get too much in depth with the story here because I feel its best to play the game and find out for yourself. Story wise its not bad but there is a moment in the game where you will be like uhm ok that makes 0 sense. This is what I would call a point and click kinda game. You walk around with holmes clicking on things and getting info and clues. Now comes the frustrating part!! The control is horrible in this game. There are times where your character just stops walking. You are pressing the joystick to move and it just stops or you try to open a door your character walks to the door and stops. The game seems to free up so you have to press some buttons to unfreeze it. Yes this has been happening for yrs with this game and they have yet to fix it. Another thing that frustrates me big time is the clue system. You get clues then you have to answer ques and try to get them right. Well you make conclusions but the problem is there are no answers to the conclusions in the clues you get. Instead its more of a trial and error thing where you have to pick and chose over and over again until you finally get the right combination. What is the point of clues if in the end you are guessing to make conclusions. Makes absolutely no sense at all.
The main crux of this game are the puzzles. They have added a skip puzzle feature which can help when you are stuck but overall most of the puzzles are not too difficult. Again you get some puzzles where there is little explanation of what to do so again you are guessing. (You are seeing a pattern here I hope). Some of the puzzles really leave you scratching your head and I can see why the skip puzzle feature is there. I could have sworn this game was promoted as a free roaming game yet again it is not. It is linear basically with you following the clues to where you have to go. You must follow their path.
All in all I think this is a decent game but unless you are a sherlock holmes fan I would say skip it. The game at times is very frustrating with the crappy controls and things like that. I also have to say good luck trying to find it. I live in NYC and it was hard to find it here so I can imagine other areas as well having trouble.
