Old fashioned hack and slasher. Was disappointed in the lack of overall story. When I played this game with pen and paper I remember the story being the main thing, filled with intrigue, twists and turns. I also remember the Temple as being more alive - the temple denizens got to know the party and would set little trips and traps for us. None of that appears to happen in this game. It is just a dungeon crawl. That being said, I like the specialization of each of the classes. I liked the fact that my magic user was completely useless in combat, and that my theif couldn't hit someone from the front (but, oh, we she got someone from behind!) And of course, after I got one of those super-swords and increased my power-attack number my paladin was a force to be reckoned with. Basically a good game marred by the weakness of the overall storyline. For me, a game should be all about story and less about combat, and this game favors the latter over the former, hence the low score.
