The Suffering Update

Midway's action horror game is making a break for it.

We took a look at a complete version of Midway and Surreal's The Suffering at Midway Gamers' Day today. The dark, gritty game puts a decidedly different spin on the standard survival horror premise thanks to its setting (a jail) and its lead character (a convict who may or may not have slaughtered his family). Our recent looks at this promising game have definitely left us anxious to see how it all comes out. Based on what we saw at the event today, it appears that Surreal tightened up the game's graphics (over the last version we saw) so that it's now running pretty smoothly. For more on The Suffering, check out our previous coverage, which includes an exclusive interview with Surreal on the making of the game.
