This game is like Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. In my opinion, this is not a good thing.

After beating this game I was disappointed to find that, like Phantom Hourglass & many other games, there is no epilogue. After beating the final boss, the game saves "from last checkpoint". Unfortunately, this happens to be before the final boss. Though this is the major issue for me, there are many good qualities to this game. It does have a good difficulty level, & an o.k. game pace & length. Many DS games lack the single player storyline that this game has, making it worth playing. The beautiful artistry of the game brings book-like illustrations to the DS. There are enough unlockables to keep you going for a while, and unlike most games I have played, every DS cartridge is different. In each, you can only unlock 3 of the 5 "unique sprites" of the game. Sprites are the game's form of magic, & the five uniques all give special abilities. To get the two uniques not found in your game, you have to trade with someone else. This isn't wi-fi. That means that you must find someone else with the game in order to trade. Nearly impossible feat, because, if you didn't already know, this game has & had very little buzz. I would say that this is another rent-not-buy type of game, unless you don't mind the fact that there is no epilogue, or it is a gift for a young child.
