One word: incongruous

User Rating: 5 | The Sims: Makin' Magic PC
Of all the expansions to The Sims, I find Makin' Magic to be the worst. A desperate attempt on the part of Maxis to milk its cash cow by piecing together a fantasy-styled Superstar-inspired magic shows, regardless of how out of place they might feel in a life simulation that is The Sims.

As usual, you get more house equipment of various sorts with the expansion pack. But besides that, there's a whole new location, The Magic Town, which you can visit for spell-casting shows reminiscent of the Superstar expansion.

Yes, that's right, spells in Sim City. You no longer need to bother with catering to your Sims' needs. They can all be magically replenished without effort. Feel lonely? Why not magically transform one of your pets into human company...

Unless you have "The Sims" tattooed on your shoulder, eat chocolate-coated roast beef for breakfast and see nothing wrong with the idea of Balin and Gloin with cell phones on motorbikes, stay away from this game!
