The video review was spot-on
The game took away everything that was fun about the sims, and forces you to pretty much do nothing but chores. I tried really hard to see the good in this title, but I just couldnt. I thought that maybe the game will start to shine when ive built up my town with all the buildings and heroes.. but it just gets you doing more fetching for logs or talking to people.
For every quest, its pretty much the same, you talk to a bunch of people around town, gather some stuff.. and then when it is time for the big fight with the bear/goblins/dragon.. you dont get to see it. Your hero disappears into a cave or forest and comes back victorious.. and thats the end of it.
Whats more, you no longer get to design houses you want your sims to live in. You are limited to placing paintings on walls, or shifting the table and bed around a room which is presented at a fixed angle.
A very poor effort. Admittedly, I am not much of a sims fan, but I did play sims 3 and the expansions, and that was really fun...
Er.. I guess ill say it.. the sims medieval is litterally a step back to the dark ages for the series = .=
