Cool..... bout time they added in these features. I just hope the game has some kind of physics so we can have realistic hair not stiff hair.

I'm getting tired of the video upon video of character creation in The Sims 3, this is coming from someone who loves character creation and thinks it should be available in every game..

I want to see more about their actual lives and gameplay, not just the textures you can put on all the furniture or clothes.

I admit, lots of neat things with those but it's not that's ALL to the game. At least I would hope so. I've been a lifelong Sims fan, I hope this isn't the one to disappoint me..

Couple "issues" with this video, all leading to that it was largely useless. Yes, we get it, "customisation" is the big part of The Sims, it's been that way since TS1 and simply been built upon since then. TS3 was allegedly postponed for the sake of enhanced marketing, which is truly asinine in retrospect. There's been no great marketing blitz, and God knows the only marketing really added to the din of TS3 noise has been "CUSTOMISATION, CUSTOMISATION, CUSTOMISATION".

I do believe TS3 will be a fantastic game and probably even a significant shift in the general trope of The Sims series. That being said, everything we've seen thus far has just been nonsense based on the slightly tweaked, if impressively innovative, new character customisation system.

We have seen nothing of real merit about the expanded neighbourhood and we have certainly seen nothing at all (as far as I know, and I'm fairly "in the loop") about any kind of changes to sim-socialisation.

I'm an adult gamer, I don't run to Target with Mum and Pop, point to a game box, and say, "I want to buy that!" I make my own money for personal entertainment, and I like to feel like I'm buying a product I actually know something about. Right now, it honestly feels like a half-arsed snow-job, I feel like I'm being conned by EA by the glitz of gimmicky (if powerful) customisation tools and occasional blurbs about "movie-making" (which I don't do anyway) and GameSpot and the rest of the industry's reporting websites and magazines are aiding in that con. I don't like that feeling.

Still, I don't doubt it's going to be, at least, a good game. Then again, I'm one of the apparently few people who wasn't stunningly disappointed by the hype of Spore.

A;right, we understood, there is a huge Sims editor where we can create our Sim anyway we want! But where is actual gameplay? There is a whole city there to explore, houses to build and decorate, things to buy, jobs to catch! After all, Sims 3 in not an editor, it's a game!
