I think even calling this Sims 2.5 would be a stretch, let alone Sims 3.

I really can't wait for Sims 3... and I do hope that EA is starting to shape up like many of the comments have said. They started off so good in the 90s and then began to fail. I'm glad they are turning their image around!

    @ Lukemaneiro
I for one am very proud of EA trying to take a higher standard in their games. I recently heard that they're trying to get review scores for all of their future games above 70%. I always used to think of EA as a huge faceless corporation who churned out games for the buck, but it takes huge balls to do something like this.

Comedian Carol Liefer used to have a joke where she went to a Diana Ross concert. She said that Diana kept saying to the audience, "Sing with me! Sing with me!" She yelled back at the stage, "I paid $75 for these tickets...you sing."

I am worried that all this constant advertising with only a month to go on the fact that we have to make all the content is very "Sporish". I hope it doesn't turn out like that infamous game where they give us very little for our money as far as gameplay and hope that we make custom content for which they will rake in $50 a pop. I am not really interested in making custom content if the gameplay is not going to be new and interesting...I hope this is not the future of all of Will Wright's franchises.

GOD, STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT EA ! EA is launching so many good games (Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, upcoming Battlefield 3, The Sims 3...) this year, and if you don't like 'em, just don't buy their games, be quiet and live with it.

It's EA, 2nd only to Sony in messing up games. Unless they get back to reality on the DRM issue, this will be another EA game I will skip.

The related games are all from the same genre, "Virtual Life" games. And besides the Sims franchise, Virtual Life games consist of essentially, adult life simulators.
