- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
Sims games in the past on handhelds have been mediocre at best. Theyw ere still fun and addictive, but poorly made and were very simple if you looked hard enough. Not this game however.
GAMEPLAY: There is a lack of a story in this game, just like any other Sim game. You create a Sim and you control their life. THE END. The gameplay is almost a sibling of the computer version. In Sibling I mean that its almost like it, but not quite. The Sims 3 DS controls like the computer version with a click method, but you tap the screen with the stylist instead. You build a house, control their lives, and work toward goals and karma powers. All these elements are put into the game well.
PRESENTATION: The game looks good for how much they crammed onto a little DS card. The environments look ok, but the character models are kind of gross. They all have overly sized lips and they all look like there on drugs. Other than that EA has done a fine job making this into a good looking game. Also don't worry, the repetetive Sims tunes are here. That gets this game a minus.
This game isn't bad and is actually very fun. Its just as of any other sim game, after a while you just don't want to play anymore. It happens with any game really, but moreso here.

Not quite up there with the PC versions but this version is decent enough.

The Sims 3, finally on consoles. Does the Nintendo DS version hold up well?
