Without peer, The Sims 3 is the ultimate life simulator you could ever play in your life.

User Rating: 9 | The Sims 3 PC
After two months of playing the new sequel of The Sims series, spending hours and hours in front of the screen I can tell it without any doubt: this game is in the top 10 pc games of all time.

Before Pleasantview, there was Sunset Valley... and the story begins. This new terrific living society will keep you with open mouth. Unlike the previous Sims, this one is ten times more realistic as it enables the continuity of life, giving you a balanced a realistic neighborhood. But there is more than just this. Your Sims can now explore the neighborhood: go out for jogging in the morning, ring the neighbor's bell for a visit and explore the town, which is full of parks, schools, business skyscrapers, bookshops and of course dozens of new Sims to meet with their own personality and traits.
The traits is a new system imported in the series, thus replacing the old fashioned horoscope-personality one. You can now have more than 50 different traits to choose from when creating Sims, but only five per Sim. Other Sims can uncover traits with discussion, while a Sim naturally gains them when reaching the end of an age.
Another interesting feature of the game is the all-new Create-a-Sim. You can see with your very eyes a new place where every eye, nose, clothe, earring and weight is accessible. True to its roots, this mode is the best and most realistic feature of the new Sims. Of course this is helped by the stunning graphics the game has to offer, of course if you offer to eat a brand-new and respectable graphics card. But even if you turn off the shadows and reflections and choose a low resolution, not many things will change (maybe except from the performance). At first, the graphics of The Sims 3 seemed a bit of plain animation graphics, but later I understood that this was the detail which makes the difference from previous Sims games and i felt rather satisfied.
Of course there is no doubt that the old-successful buy and build modes are kept untouched by the developers, and that I think is the best choice they could make about it. There it comes the all-new (but a bit advanced) create-a-style which offers you the option to fully customize your house in order to match your Sims clothes or personality. Another new feature is the one of the opportunities system which offers you certain career opportunities depending on the career track you are following and the skills you have. And by the way, I must congratulate the developing team for fully-optimizing the careers, by adding new requirements which you should fulfill if you want to proceed in your career till level 10.
Another really important feature of The Sims 3 is its music score and overall audio performance. Doing a turn to a more symphonic score will sun everyone, even not a fan of the genre. The music is in no way disturbing and moreover, it stresses out many important things happening with the best way possible. The sounds during the game are extremely realistic, from the blowing wind to locking doors and your own Sims voices, which can fortunately be decided by you when creating new Sims.

Make no mistake: The Sims 3 is probably the best simulator to come out yet. Whether you are a four-year old child or an elder, a newbie to the franchise or a series veteran, this game is for you, and of course for all the family. Not having this game in your games collection is one of the biggest mistakes you could do.
