The Simpsons: Hit & Run Hints & Cheats

1. Go to the options menu, either in game, or on the main menu.
2. Hold L1+R1 and press the following:

Collect all the collector cards in the game. Go to lisa's level. Go to the comic book store. Buy the ticket from the comic book guy. Take the ticket to the aztec theater and enjoy.

Once you complete the game once, load up your complete file, enter the options and hold L1+R1 and enter X, O, X, O. You will hear a sound confirming this code. Select new game and you will start with the list of cars with that level.
Note: You will have to do this every time you load up the game until you purchase the vehicle. And will only get unlocked cars for each respective level thereafter.

The following costumes can be purchased at their designated levels and locations.

You need to collect all playing cards in story mode.

Play the game on Halloween or Christmas. The Simpson's home will be decorated accordingly.
You can also change the date in your Playstation and it will appear.

Use the phone booth to call up certain cars in certain levels to ride along with special drivers:

70's Sports Car (Homer) - Levels 3-4
Bandit (Snake) - Levels 1, 3, 4 and 6
Canyonero (Marge) - 2 and 5-7
Electaraus (Lisa) - Levels 4-6
Family Sedan (Homer) - Levels 3-4
Ferrini - Red (Bart) - Level 7
Honor Roller (Bart) - Level 7
Hover Car (Professor Frink) - Levels 1 and 5
Kremlin (Comic Book Guy) - Levels 1, 4 and 5
Longhorn (Apu) - Level 7
Malibu Stacy Car (Lisa) - Levels 4-6
Mr. Burns' Limo (Smithers) - Levels 2 and 4-7
Pickup Truck (Cletus) - Levels 1, 5, and 6
Police Car (Police Chief Wiggim) - Level 1
School Bus (Otto) - Levels 1, 4 and 7
Sedan (Principal Skinner and his mother) - Levels 3 and 5

Fail a mission 5 times and pick the skip a mission option it the menu.

Level 1 - Rocket Car - Found in front of the solid gold house. (From episode "The Day the Violence Died")

Level 2 - Monorail - Found at the rubble of the monorail station, the front car. (From episode "Marge vs. the Monorail")

Level 3 - Knight Boat - Found aboard the C-Spanker, in a cargo crate. (From episode "And Maggie Makes Three")

Level 4 - Four-wheel motorbike - At Royal King trailer park (episode unknown)

Level 5 - Obliteratatron - Outside Springfield Stadium. (episode unknown)

Level 6 - Pink Cadillac - crashed into wal of Planet Hype (From episode "Homer's Barbershop Quartet")

Level 7 - Remote Control Car - On roof of Krusty Burger (episode unknown)

On the last mission of the 1st level, you have to race Smithers through most of the level to get to Mr. Burns' mansion, starting from the nuclear power plant. You can't cut through the power plant itself because a door slams shut, blocking your way. HOWEVER, if you park your car halfway into the doorway (I used the Family Sedan), The door will slam shut on it, damaging it but not destroying it. The rear end of the vehicle hangs out and you can hop right in to take an easy short-cut to the end of the mission without a hassle.

First, activate the ''L3 makes car jump'' cheat (triangle, triangle, circle, square while holding R1 and L1 at the options menu). Next, enter either worlds 1 or 4 and go to the area code border (there should be a sign that says ''now leaving 636'' or ''now leaving 939'' depending on where you came from). Take a sharp turn in either direction while on the bridge, then press L3. Your car will jump into the mountain or river (if you did it correctly).

If you park your car close to the brewery and run to the obsrevitory to start the mission Duff for me , Duff for you the timer won't start until you get into your vehicle so you run back get in and your right next to the brewery with 45 seconds to spare

To make it so that there are no police no matter how high your crime bar is:
1. Enter any gambling race (Races marked by 2 red dice on radar)
2. Get Hit and Run status during the race.
3. Time out on the race while in Hit and Run status (Choose no when asked to retry the mission)

Now no matter how high your crime bar gets the police won't come after you. (Effects do not carry over from level to level.)

If your car is damaged and you are no-where near a wrench, enter any race. Lose the race or restart it and your car will be as good as new!
