One of the most original and intellectually rewarding games I've ever seen.

This game starts out with the very unusual premise of a rabbi who has serious doubts about his ability to continue working at the synagogue-- and is then told a former member of the congregation left him a substantial gift. The man was murdered. The rabbi must now sort through two crises at once.

This game has graphics that would have been old-school on a Mac in the mid-1980s. Try to look past that, however, and immerse yourself in the brilliant story. Actual people solving real-life problems? You're kidding!

My heart nearly burst with joy when the first scene after the opening was a young cantor reciting a prayer. I tell you, you're in for a treat.

Follow the rabbi around Manhattan as he struggles to solve the case and his own ethical dilemma.

Huge points for including an element of deciding between right and wrong. That and a look at a culture that very rarely gets any mention in video games makes this a must-buy for those who are looking for something different. Okay for parents and kids to try together, although the mature theme makes it necessary for you to consider it for older kids. All in all, a new favorite of mine.
