It turned out to be one of the very few game I actually regretted buying.

I'll be honest I never went past the second mission in the campaign, I un-install it frustrated and bored. I really liked the 4th in the series and was hopping for something a little closer.

First thing I have against this game is the save game synchroniser who take a while to do is thing before the game can launch, not a deal killer but definitely an annoyance.

Once the game finally start you get an opening animation that last an eternity and that you can't skip. Not yet a deal killer but definitely raise up a big notch the annoyance meter.

Among the option of the game menu you have the possibility to customize your castle which turned out to be the only thing I actually like in the game.

Then I started the campaign... where do I start?
-I did really find the cartoon-ish characters ugly and generally uninteresting.
-I really didn't like the way building work, one main building to which you add up to three extension.
-I could see the people moving in my cities but I didn't get the feeling of a living city from it unlike in the Settlers 4.
-Graphic in general seems unappealing and bland.
-The combat was one of the most boring, less engaging I have ever seen in a city building/strategy game so far.
-The little of the story I managed to see before un-installing the game seem bland and uninteresting

And now for the part that made the annoyance meter explode and made me un-install the game in frustration:

-Ubisoft DRM, my connection sometimes reset, normally it doesn't take long and doesn't affect my games, even on line ones, but Ubisoft made it that if you lose your connection and the game cant make contact again with the servers it end down shutting down on you in the SINGLE PLAYER campaign.

With everything before I decided I was fed up and un-installed the game. Ill never buy a game with that kind of DRM again, and ill be sure to research far more a game before buying it.
