It looks like this is the closest I'll get to Rifts (The Palladium games one) and now that it's F2P, I'll give it a whirl. I'll pick it up in the store first though, they deserve my $30.

Here's the latest video for The Secret World's Big Trouble in the Big Apple update, bringing us up to speed with the most recent events in the game.
Funcom has always had a really kickass art team. I'm going to have to check this out, though I haven't played MMOs in ages.
@1BaguM1 you're never playing it then, Funcom has stated that they are never making this free to play. You lose out cheap skate.
I always wished someone would just make a damn Lovecraft RPG. Sure the Secrete World does some decent things here and there, but I just hate MMOs.

This is one great MMO. They have done very well with it visually, story wise, and combat wise. It is very fun and very addictive. No levels, it is your gear that lets you know if you are ready or not. No classes, you do have decks (think general builds) offered but you can basically design your character anyway you want. It takes place in today's world. The graphics are excellant but I believe it is pretty machine intensive. As one who has played a ton and a half of MMOs in my life, this one is very refreshing and very interesting.
I would recommend it to you.
@CUDGEdave There's a small town in Maine, and it's surrounding areas, an Egyptian town, and outlying areas, and a large area in Romania (Think Transylvania). London is the biggest social hub in the game, but there's also New York and Seoul, Korea as safe areas. And Tokyo is on the way
