A game that gives a challenge while having a lot of fun!
First off there's no leveling, you complete a series of quests, Main missions, Story missions and Side missions, most of these quests involve a series of investigating and figuring out things, which are really cool to do and doing them with a friend adds a little extra fun to it! Once you complete quests you get AP ability points and SP skil points which you can use to upgrade your toon, and there's a wide array of skills! there's even some pre defined skill sets for you to chose from incase you dont know what to use, for example there's a Warrior skill set, which takes skills from Assault rifles and shotguns, and combines them to give a mixture of skill sets, so you can mix and use any skills from any deck, which i think is very awesome.
The graphics are good, i have mine set on ultra and the shadows and environments are amazing! The characters themselves could use more work, but they are decent enough, and there's the odd graphical glitch here and there, but its still early days, and this no doubt will be sorted in upcoming patches.
One thing that does bother me a bit is the combat, it just feels like you are shooting with a water pistol sometimes and playing with cardboard cut out swords.. i would prefer some deeper impact and collision in combat, but Funcom say they are working on improving this, so lets hope they can implement some GTA style combat or Kingdoms of Amalur (one can wish)
I am having a lot of fun with the game, i still haven't done any dungeons yet, but from what i hear that are exciting to do! Its still early days for the game, and there's alot that still going to get fixed and tweaked, but as it stands i am very impressed with the game, and i can recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh MMO.
