Even today, some 17 (or so) years after the games release it's still great fun to play and well worth a look in!
The game starts off (after some amazing midi music) with young guybrush Threepwood on Melee™ island looking to become a pirate only it's not going to be easy due to the fact that the evil spirit of the legendary pirate LeChuck is out to ruin everyone’s day... The game isn't intended to be serious in any way and has jokes all the way through which will have you chuckling to yourself with glee.
Like all the early point and click adventure games made by Lucasarts you will be talking, giving, picking up..etc.. your way through the game, combining items to solve puzzles and that sort of thing. There’s also a whole sword fighting mini game which sees you insulting other pirates as a means of attack, basically if they cant come up with a witty reply they’ve had it and vice versa, it may not sound like anything special but it's actually quite fun.
If you haven't played Monkey Island yet and think that maybe because it's so old it wont be fun.. Don't be stupid! It's great!
