Not a bad game at all.

User Rating: 7 | The Punisher: No Mercy PS3
Alot of critics, gamespot included, haven't taken well to Punisher: No Mercy. I think there being very harsh with the game. Punisher: No Mercy is an arena based FPS. You get to choose from eight characters. Each with there own strength's.
Im gonna be straight and say it is all very very simple stuff, it reminds me of the quake III days on the dreamcast. You get about seven modes to choose from, such as team deathmatch, standard deathmatch, Punish the Punisher and a couple of other modes to chose from in multiplayer.
There are a few weapons to choose from, i think about 15 is a good guess. You unlock about 7 of these in story mode (along with all the characters and a few abilities). The rest of the weapons and abilites you have to unlock using diffrent characters and passing certain tasks. It isn't easy! you have to really work hard to get them.
The main problem with the game online is the network itself. The lag is some of the worst i've ever seen. Its truly awful. For the first couple of week i hardly played it online because the lag was too bad. I think they've finally done a tweak or two to the network and the lag is no where near as bad. Its when they game is running normally that its great fun, and well worth the price tag when its running normally.
Story mode is terrible, the story has pretty much nothing to do with the comics so if you dont play online you might as well not bother with the game.

Graphics: No where near the top of the crop but there ok. Lighting is really pretty though.

Sound: Hmmm not a strong point, about 3 diffrent songs. Voice acting isn't too brilliant either.

Gameplay: Simple, but it does the job just fine. Story mode, online, 8 characters and a few diffrent modes. If you dont like it online it wont last you long.

S**** Box: Awful story, Some bad lag, No massive depth, dodgy voice acting.

Value: Is it worth £6 20? damn friggin right it is. If you use everything it has to offer you get the moneys worth. You could spend it on worse.

Overall: Hopefully they will make the network even better to play on and they'll release some extra stuff. New maps, characters etc. As it stands its a simple arena based FPS, but lets be honest, if your a Punisher fan or an old school Arena fan £6 isn't bad at all is it?
