Will Gmod contain all of the orange box characters without buying orange box?

I wanted to just buy TF2 without buying the orange box off steam and get Gmod. I was wondering if Gmod contains all of the orange box characters (half-life and portal) without having to buy the orange box.

I don't have the game but I saw the information for and it says it needs a source engine game to be able to use it. It has a link for a list of source games.
