Often fun and funny though it is short and easy, making the experience as a whole only average. A game for collectors.

User Rating: 6.5 | Tron ni Kobun: RockMan Dash Series PS
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is a rather hard to find Playstation title that achieved some cult success from fans of Megaman Legends. This game is a spin of from the main series that tells the events leading up to the original Megaman Legends game. It's likely that any who has interest in this game is probably a collector of Playstaion 1 games. For those of you who are not though, I will try and provide some information on the games playability and graphical/audio quality.

In this game you play as Tron of the Bonne family of pirates and treasure hunters. The story goes as follows; your brother is indebted to a nasty loan shark after borrowing money to buy parts for their new air ship. At the beginning of the game he is kidnapped and thus begins the quest to make enough money to pay off his debt.

From the start you are given the home base and a number of different sections of the base from which you can sell found items, train your serve bots and develop new parts for your armored tank thing called the Gustaff. Within your home base you can also talk with the various serve bots who give you hints as to their personalities and ways to improve your tank. Giving the serve bots items may give them a special skill some of which are more useful than others. another way to obtain special skills is by bringing the serve bots on missions with you in order to improve their brains rating. As for the missions themselves you are given four to choose from at the start and then are given a couple more as the game progresses. Each mission is episodic and has three levels. Every one of them has new dialogue between Tron and her minions that provide some good laughs as the serve bots are often adorable and funny. There is a good variety between missions as well. Some are puzzles and others are action and there are exploration digs that are a combination of the two. The action levels themselves are average in terms of fun. Improving the serve bots stats requires you to play a mini game for attack and another mini game for speed. Since there are exactly 40 serve bots this can certainly get tedious in the case that you are in pursuit of perfection by the end of the game.

The graphics and sound are technically subpar though the cartoony style of the visuals and cutesy voice acting can be enjoyable depending on personal preference. It is possible at points to change the look of the Gustaff by changing its colors or the background music in the HQ though it is really just the same song played with different tempo and instruments. As for the graphics within the missions, they are clearly dated even for the time of the games release. Rough pixelated textures make up the bulk of the blocky environments and character models alike.

Overall this game was fun at times when not tediously doing the same things over and over for long periods and the graphics and sound are below average. I could say that the highlight of this game is the hilarious and cutesy interactions between the protagonist and her robot friends. This is a good game for collectors though if you are just curious to play it I don't think that it's a good enough game to warrant paying 80-150 dollars online for it (as of 7/28/13). The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is a game I am happy to have in my collection though I will probably not visit it for a second play through.

Thanks to anyone reading this, my 100th review.
