You missed it on this one Gamespot imo. Average gameplay? That's a stretch. Try amazing gameplay, it's brutally obvious.

User Rating: 8.5 | The Maw X360
So, I only bash Gamespot when they, in my eyes, watch the wheels fall off the wagon. The Maw is...hilarious, imaginitive, ground-breaking, innovative, you start it and, you just can't put it down, I dare you. I am old as dirt so I am always looking for something special when I revisit Xbox Arcade from my bloody shooters. This was it. I had downloaded some of the classic revisions from back in the day when I had to relocate myself to have fun. But nothing new, other than Roboblitz really grabbed me on the Arcade. I had to face facts, I'm not a 2D guy on the box, sorry Braid. So embarrassingly, only because I saw the demo was 3D, I was interested. But when I started the game I was like, what in the world is this. It seems simple enough, Maw looking at Harry, and Harry looking back at Maw, and then boom! A whole new world opened up to me. After a few chapters, I found myself rolling off the couch laughing. The word cute just didn't come to mind, it was a riot. And then making me think about the journeys puzzles, again and again. I tell you I ripped through 6 levels like the was no tomorrow. And that's just how it felt, timeless. Like, with a big enough tv, I was really inside a great Pixar cartoon movie. Gamespot does a lot of hard work reviewing these games, but I think this time possibly a burnout factor was at work when this game went under review. 8.5 instead of 10 only because it was too short and some of the gameplay, left you without a clear path, but only in a couple spots. Try this one, as I said, I bet it'll be hard to put down.
