I loved all the Lord of The Rings Games that came out after the movie. The action based button mashers weren't real deep in gameplay, but as far as cinema and story goes, I'll take what I can get from my precious middle-earth. I had a few wishes back then, like customizable characters, real multiplayer and more RPG elements. Six or seven years later, War In The North comes along and delivers all that and more. If you want Grand Theft LOTR, don't expect it. One thing that really bewilders me is that the dialogue mechanic is getting panned by the mainstream press and review mills, well, I'm on the other side, I like that it tells the story and if you want story, you need to have the conversations, and they aren't held down by cheesy faction or results based decisions. It's lore, something gamers of this day and age must re-embrace IMO. What's wrong with getting more to the story? I've played many hours of MP with friends and not noticed the bugs that the press is complaining about either, it was flawless fun and kept my group up till dawn, and thank you snowblind, for letting all that work come back with me to my single player game. The amount of effort put into making the gear and loot worthy in this game is AMAZING, and if you like to loot, crawl, brutally kick orc arse and stab trolls in the head like I do - then please, pick up this game and enjoy adventuring in Middle-Earth. It's wort it!
