I Think i discovered why people didn't enjoy the game completely and the reason for many bad reviews.

User Rating: 8.5 | The Lord of the Rings: War in the North PS3
First let me tell you i'm a REAL LOTR fanboy i know pretty much most of the lore and am able to appreciate little details other people can't, but this review won't be based on you being a fan, just basically knowing the overall.

The game starts in the prancing pony with you talking to Aragorn (don't worry i won't Spoiler) there he explains about a hobbit and his quest and asks you to help in the north to prevent reinforcements to reach the company, and that's pretty much what i loved about the War in The North, instead of being in the Fellowship of The Ring or actually helping Frodo or anything to do with the others, you have your own fellowship, that must help those in need by waging war in the north.

One of the main points that people must have stumbled is that the game is a little hard and repetitive, i understand them, but i also disagree, the enviroments are different, you can go from Caves, necromancer infested tombs, snowy mountains and even the dark forest of Mirkwood, also the mobs do change, so basically the repetitive is refered mostly to the attacks, you basically hit square and triangle to execute and that's all, but keep in mind you also have other attacks.

The reason i loved this game was also because I didn't rush it, think about it, do you think Frodo and his fellowship would go on a quest to Mordor without rest? well, no and that's what i did i compleed the game in about 5-6 days, never doing more than 2 story missions per day, and that made me enjoy the whole quest much more.

I REALLY recomend this game 8.5
