I gave this horrible scores basically because I HATE this type of game and only rented it because Gamespot assured me it was like some WAY better games.

If you believe Gamespot's idea of "similar games" this should have been one of my favorites. They said it is similar to KOTOR, Fable, Jade Empire, Morrowind ...WHAT!? Drop the pipe friend. Those games are 180 degrees away from this. It reminds me of Final Fantasy or Shadow Hearts.

Basically you watch a movie clip, then run about 30 feet down narrow path, see an orc, and the whole world stops... so you can go into Pokemon-mode and take turns stepping forward to hit each other. Rinse and repeat. It's all very "polite" as once someone is done, they step back and stand still so they can be attacked. It reminds me of a pencil fight in 4th grade or "trading licks" on the playground. No, wait... that was way more fun than this game.

Don't get me wrong, if you like Japanese-style, LINEAR (how dare they compare this to Morrowind!), take turns to attack (this shouldn't be called turn-based strategy... they are MUCH better than this) games, then you'll love it.
