Great game. I recommend it to any RPG fan out there

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is a pretty solid game if your an RPG fan or if your an Lotr fan. It is sorta like a final fantasy game in the sense that the battle system is a lot alike. The graphics are pretty good, the characters clothes, armor and weapons will change appearance as they are travelling whenever you get better equipment. I recommend buying it for the XBOX and not for Ps2. The game will slow down a lot if you buy it for Ps2. It can take a while for you to gain new abilities, for there is a different class for each one. Swordcraft,bowcraft,rangercraft and much more, if there is and ability you want in one of the categories, you must perform something in that category a number of times, sometimes up to 200 times, to be able to use that ability.

The Third Age starts out as a Gondorian captain named Berethor looking for the Fellowship of the Ring. I won't get too much into the storyline, because it is a pretty good one, but along the way he meets an elf, ranger, dwarf, axe-bearer, and a Rohan spearman. These are the main characters that will help you in your journey. You can have three characters in a battle, and every once in a while you will have a special party member that will help you. I'll give you the name of one of them that will help you for a battle or two. Does Gandalf ring a bell, anyone?

Overall The Third Age is a great RPG that is fun to play, and it will help if your a lotr fan or even a Final Fantasy fan. I warn you that this game is not as much of a masterpiece as a Final Fantasy game, but for EA games to make it they did a pretty good job.
