ROTK is a game that doesn't look too flashy at first when you play it but it grows on you fast with it's addictive gameplay.
Story - 9.5/10: You play a host of characters from the movie, some with different starting areas, and you play your way through different areas from the story until you reach the final boss and partly save middle earth. Along the way you can collect some secret items that will unlock special bonus levels that you can play with any character outside of the main story.
Gameplay - 8.0/10: It's hack and slash different enemies until you reach your objective. It's not the best gameplay ever but it's still really fun and you hardly ever get bored. There are a lot of different items to loot so it keeps the game fresh and their are many different skills to upgrade so you can make the character the way you want it to be.
Graphics - 7.5/10: Not the best graphics ever but they get the job done and they somewhat suit it.
Audio - 9.5/10: They did a really good job with the audio and all of the music fits the stages really well.
Final Thoughts - 9.3/10 - In my opinion this is one of the greatest games in the GBA's life, and it shouldn't be missed if you're a fan of the Lord Of The Ring's or if you like hack and slash games. It is truly a masterpiece and I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.

Fun, but needs work. If only it had a little bit more work on it, it would have been at least a 9.

Better than The Two Towers, but still too repetitive.

An excellent hack and slash RPG that is probably not getting the attention it deserves from most people.

Based on the Novel book of the same name this game is an A-RPG (Action Role Playing Game) released in 1994 in US and 1995 in Europe. Your goal in the game is to do plenty of repetitive Fletch quests in order to recruit allies to your party.Posted Jun 15, 2011
