A fun action game with great visuals that any Lord of the Rings fan can easily enjoy

Based on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, this game recreates the movie's feel into a fun action title with a great audiovisual presentation to back it up. During the game you play as some of the main characters of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, such as Gandalf, Frodo, Eragon, Legolas, Gimlee and so on. The game's combat system is pretty basic, as you have combo attacks against foes. It's just simple button mashing at first, though there are tons of different upgrades available for your character. Most of the missions are a bit challenging, since you'll have your hands full of dozens of enemies, and also they are sometimes timed, so you'll have to rush to your objective, and then complete it before the time runs out. Backing up the combat is the audiovisual presentation that really captures what the film did. Though the fighting isn't bloody or gory like the movie, it's still very satisfying since the audio is great. The main plot of the film is added in the game, and you'll recognize many levels that were in the movie. Adding to the enjoyment is another player than can join so you can work cooperatively throughout the missions. The game won't take you that long to beat, but it is still very enjoyable to play through. Any fan of the Lord of the Rings won't be disappointed with what this game has to offer.
