This game is very well done for a strategy game. The good thing about it is the tutorial which teaches you how to play. It's not hard by the way, very easy to learn how to play, but difficult to master. The problem is, it's WAY too short. I'm over 30% done the game, and i've only been playing it for about 2 hours or so! The gameplay only starts in Weathertop! You never even see the shire, or the forest or anything! After that, you go straight to fighting the Balrog, which you can defeat, apparently. Although it would be tedious if it went through every single detail of the story, the game could at least cover the actual adventure, instead of showing movie clips and skipping like half a book. Before I knew it, I was in Helms Deep, not even getting a chance to enjoy the game fully. Another thing, I've killed Saruman about 3 times, and yet he's back in almost every level. The fellowship doesn't fight him until later on, anyway. But, all that aside, it is a fairly good game, and it's great that you can play as Mordor instead of the good guys, so you get to beat the game twice, and you get to control characters like Sauron and the Witch-King. The graphics are nice, the sound could have been a lot better, but overall it is a good game. I recommend renting it first, because chances are you'll beat it before you even have to return it, and if you love it so much that you just can't stop playing it, then buy it.
