@Soapweed This license has had the crap beaten out of it. Enough LOTR games, the last movie was 6 years ago. umm...the books have been around for like 60 years. U think they will ever stop making Batman games?

This is pretty much just a glorified Battlefront mod.

@jamsy42 Cause the graphics, ai and length suck, but otherwise its extremely fanastically good.

he didnt mention the ai quality which is the worst iv ever seen, oh wait, i think assault on dark athena was worse but no matter. In this game the ai will sometimes just stop in middle of nowhere and even pass by your allies without attacking, pretty amusing.

Hmm... doesn't deserve anywhere near 8, especially if you plan on playing online, because the lag is horrible, and playing by yourself is boring. It's only fun splitscreen with a friend, but even then it's a let down, because the graphics and level size are disappointing.

Why the hell did this get a 6.5?!

This game looks great, but considering it's on the PS3; maybe not so much. This would be a great PS2 game, like the Two Towers and Return of the King, they were great on the PS2. However this is on the PS3 and still I can't really see the difference between this game and those.

6.5 i think is totally not what i expected from me this game gets at least a 8. because of the nice graphics and i love the part where u can stab people in the back with the scouts. but really 6.5???

i somehow managed to be better than my friend in this game, the game was his not my, the best part of this game is backstabbing a friend with a scout.

this game is like star wars battlefront. I dont think the review matches the score. based on the review it should be around 7.8 - 8.0

He sells the game pretty well. I haven't played a lord of the rings action game for a while and this one looks to have built quite a bit on the older ones we played on the ps2. Especially like the co-op feature, great to play with a friend!

@Mike0193 I can agree to a new Battlefront. I want some improvements to the space battles where fleets have multiple star destroyers/calamari cruisers. And they actually shoot at each other or can be controlled. Damn it, I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

I think this reviewer loved the game but felt obligated to give it a 6.5 because other reviews felt otherwise.

Played the demo and it's hella fun. I'ma buy it for its 20$ price tag ! I want a new Star Wars Battlefront game on the consoles too though. Of course atleast we'll be getting an awesome one for the psp.

I found I only had to button mash when I was less skilled at the game. As soon as I got the hang of it, I started consciously making combos and using certain abilities at certain times. If you get good at it, this game can be fun! Though the online set up is a bit too disorganized for me. I prefer the setups of games like COD 4 and Halo 3.

thought it was a cool game but there is alot of button mashing, especially when your out numbered and your clan are nowhere to be seen!!!

Plus the scout class has one it kills and invisibility so they kinda run around and kill you randomly

The game is sweet. Id give it an 8. The last level makes you feel horrible and awesome at the same time.

I feel the score is a little condratictory to the review. It seems like he really enjoyed the game and the few flaws he found were really not that big a deal. should have got at least a 7-7.5
