From the opening sequence I found the game to be visually pleasing. The artwork is well done and the combat system is easy to pickup and move forward with. I admit I am a LOTR "fanboy" so for me the recreations of certain aspects of the storyline are well done and thought out.

It is a bit hack and slash but as you progress to the harder difficulties it sits just right. In the spectrum of LOTR games this one sits underrated, I think for the NON Tolkien fans the LUSTER of the GENRE has worn off. For me it was a great game could have done without SAMWISE and replaced added more features, overall a good LOTR portable PSP experience.

If you compare this game to its console cousins you will be a tad disappointed, for those who cannot get enough LOTR, grab this title for your library.
