The Lion King remains the only traditionally animated Disney film based on nothing. It's also the highest grossing traditionally animated film at the box office.

To no ones surprise, a video game adaption of the film is on the Snes. To everyone's surprise, it's actually one of the best Snes games ever made. When you start the game, Timon appears in a black screen in Puesedo 3D graphical detail saying "And it begins". Then, you start in the first level. As soon as you control the game, you'll notice that the game looks, sounds, and plays great. The graphics are unbelievebly up to their quality, and the soundtrack sounds just like the film.

The only setback to The Lion King is its unexplained deaths. Rocks and other obstacles often provide cheap deaths. Still, transforming from young Simba into Adult Simba is great, and overall, The Lion King is one of the great movie games that looks, plays, and sounds awesome.
