God, I remember playing Zelda forever and not even realizing there were dungeons for quite a while.

You're taking a vacation from normality. The setting: a weird motel where the bed is stained with mystery. And there's also some mystery floating in the pool. Your key card may not open the exercise room because someone smeared mystery on the lock. But it will open the Scary Door.

Something is off about the reasoning here... Great video though. I love the old Windows icon XD

Old games were for hardcore people only ha ha. Nowadays nothing takes much more skill than does writing your name on a piece of paper. Back in the day games were a test of hand and eye-coordination and just plain hard compared to what games are now. Much love for the old days. :P

@snes_vs_ps1 Now that was a truly groundbreaking game. Zelda likely wouldn't have happened without it.

Hmmm, I suppose it shows the great elements that more games should have used, but honestly, the humour here doesn't exactly make any sense. And there is a place for a narration and voiced protagonists. I think there are much worse examples than MGS4.

gamespot does terrible videos, not funny, but then ign is way too generous with it's scoring.

This doesn't make sense. I thought it would have been good to genuinely acknowledge the influences of the original Zelda and explain potentially the lack of open world gameplay (no GTA for example) etc. But to just poke fun at other games? Even Skyward Sword which is awesome and has achieved near perfect scores across the gaming world? Makes no sense at all. The biggest failing of this video is the fact that all of its points are erroneous (the games exist in a world that DOES have Zelda) and badly explained. Try again, or pick on Call of Duty or something. Nice dig at FFXIII though. What a shambles that was.

@silversix_ I don't recall the first Zelda being 3D or having the same dungeons and overworld layout as Majora's Mask. Or maybe I missed something?
