The Holy Triforce of Gaming: -Super Mario Bros. -The Legend of Zelda. -Tetris.
Link collects rupees, which represents the currency of India so it makes me believe the action of the game takes place in a parallel, fantasy Indian Universe where Link is a combination between an Elf & Robin Hood, lol.The total number of types of items that can be found is somewhere around 35-36.If i'm not mistaking, it's the only game in the series where you have 2 types of candles:blue, the simple one & the red one that fires multiple flames. The music made by the recorder is mythical, i can recognize it out of 100 sounds, it remains in your head for a long long time, the soundtrack of the game is also highly recognisable & memorable. This whistle has been ported to SMB3, it's exactly the same item. The series reached maturity at the 3rd instalment in the series where everything is bigger but also harder. That is not so good, when things get complicated too much, the fun is diminished as the frustration takes place...now, i've spotted another flaw in A Link to the Past, a bad habit exactly that is perpetuated in later instalments:you can enter everyones houses & take whatever you want, for free, for granted. This is a bad example for the younger players, for children especially. When they see that they can take everything for free from peoples houses they might think it's a good thing & apply it in the real life.In the first game, there is no such thing, moreover, it educates you.For example:when you enter a cave or a shop whatever, an Old Woman wants to give you precious information but in exchange for a certain ammount of rupies. If you give her only 10 rupies, she says it's not enough. If you give her too much, she will laugh & take your money away saying:"Boy, you are rich", without giving you any information. There is also an Old Man inside a tree that invites you to the "Money Making Game", in other words he invites you to gamble. The best method is to stay away, to ignore his game.Another example:if you attack the persons that give you hints, they will counter-attack-it wants to say, never betray your friends as they could become your worst enemies. The Legend of Zelda(NES) is a very educative experience, it represents the quintessence of ideas in the series, some of them "ported" to other games in the series. Now i really don't know what to say, which is the best in the series but since everybody says Ocarina of Time is the best, then i must follow the trend.
It has a Good to Great Replay Value & the best way to describe the graphics of this game is to say that it represents a bunch of rough pixels that circulate on the screen-well, these rough pixels create one of the most legendary games ever created.Miyamoto is clearly the Greatest Game Creator of all Time.Imagine this world without him:there would have been no Mario, no Zelda & the industry of gaming dead or in a coma since 1983.
