The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess User Review

- The Bottom Line:
- "Amazing"
This is the first Zelda game I've played since A Link to the Past, or actally I played Majora's Mask for about an hour, maybe two hours, but anyway, it is the first Zelda game I've finished. Thought I should check it out waiting for Skyward Sword which already has gotten some amazing reviews, some calling it the best Zelda yet. I think most people who have played Ocarina of Time consider it a masterpiece, Twilight Princess seemingly has garnered much more divided opinions. Let me just say, I loved it, a long epic adventure with massive bosses, clever puzzles and that certain charm and magic that Nintendo's games seem to just intrinsically have. The characters are great all across the board, and fanfic writers are gonna have a bunch to work with as there are four girls as potential romantic interests for Link, Zelda, the twilight princess, Ilia and the bug girl, okay, the last one may be pushing it a bit. Midna is a fantastic new character, weird but cute at the same time, for some bizarre reason she reminded me of one of them The Grudge girls, with the pale face and all, I know it's strange. This is the longest game I've played since, I guess Pokemon White. Depending on how much you want to collect and gather on your quest, the game will at least take you around 25-30, possibly 40 hours to complete, again depending on how much you want to discover.
The dungeons are really creative and have numerous puzzles, some may be a bit tough to figure out, but it's constantly rewarding, the boss fights are highlights, the one with...Stallord, I think his name was, is my favorite where you skate around on a Beyblade-like spinner. But most of the bosses are fun to fight, despite all of them, yes, ALL of them being absolute pushovers when you get to know their weaknesses, hell, a mini-boss, the goblin with the axe or whatever he had in Hyrule Castle managed to dish out more damage than any of the bosses ever did. The items are fun to use and is another reward for progress. Link can transform into a wolf, this brings about a few things I didn't like about the game, the howling stones, I don't think I ever got it and understood how it really works, I mean, I thought I did until the final stone where I thought and seemingly according to the help in the game, did it right, but I had to struggle with it and eventually got it through luck. Collecting tears is a tedious task, but you only have to do it three times if I remember correctly. Zelda Twilight Princess is an epic adventure that's very impressive and memorable. Reports are saying that Skyward Sword will top it, we'll see.
