An epic Zelda adventure to ever hit the Wii with a great story, awesome visuals and fun gameplay!

One word to describe this game: Epic, just plain epic! *sigh* This takes me back to when I first heard about the game and then I started watching the trailers over and over again! That summer of 2006, I was highly anticpating for one of the biggest games yet and it definitely met up my expectations with a few minor flaws but I'll explain that as I'm reviewing.

In the game, Link is a wrangler that soon finds out his true destiny after the village folks are kidnapped. Soon he is snatched by a twili monster in a bizarre world that is unknown to Link called the Twilight Realm, and is suddenly turned into a blue-eyed wolf beast. What is the reason behind this? Well you'll have to find out for yourself! But the main purpose is to restore light throughout the lands of Hyrule that is overthrone by the king that rules the Twilight with the help of an imp-like creature, named Midna!

The gameplay is once again similar to its predecessors but since this is a Wii port and not the Gamecube version, the controls are slightly different this time around. Since the Wii has been out for a decade, people who own one should be familar of how the controls work which this game will have little no difference here, but for newcomers you're in for a treat! So as traditional, Link carries a sword & shield, correct? Well this time your controls act as a weaponry with motion sensors. Like the sword, you use the Wii remote to swing your way through victory while the nunchuck act as a shield to defend counter attacks from enemies and protect against projectiles. Sounds simple, right? I know I know, you may think that it might be frustrating but trust me, it's not. Your arms won't get tired overtime because all you can really do is waggle your way through, unless you really want to put more force into the controls just for the fun of it! Also I will point out that sometimes the sensor bar won't correspond to your wii remote as you point at the screen which is the most frustrating to me. Other than that, I have absolutlely no problem with the controls so you'll still enjoy it, but if you feel that they're more of a chore and you enjoy the traditional button-mashing instead, then get the GC version.

Next, the storyline is awesome! Link shows more personality (like Toon Link in Wind Waker) and you feel more connected to the characters. Midna is my favorite and she develops more personality as the story progress. I am a little disappointed that Zelda didn't play a huge role in the game so I have to say that Midna's character is way better than Princess Zelda but I guess I can't really blame since the story centers around Midna which you will find out later (trying to avoid spoilers here). Also Link and Zelda doesn't connect as much so I'm really upset about that...but oh well. Anyway this has a darker story though I wouldn't say that it is much darker than Wind Waker, but it's right up there with Majora's Mask. There are some scary and sad moments and not to mention, it has blood (only in certain areas) so this pretty much explains why this game has a mature T rating. Overall, the story is epic and I enjoyed it all the way through!

The music is great with lots of new and old that's remixed (Serenade of Water FTW). There are touching moments with the soundtrack that it really fits when it comes to the cutscenes. Though I wish that the music was ocheshrated this time around but it's no big deal to me because the MIDI music still grows on me! ^_^

Now the presentation is a definite win! I've never seen visuals this awesome in a Nintendo game before. I thought "Woah, Nintendo actually did the impossible!" It's amazing running through Hyrule with stunning scenery and great textures that it's just plain beautiful! For some reason, the graphics is what really makes this game more addicting to play through but not really...ok really but the story & gameplay are all that really matters to me. Still, I'm shock of what the company really put in this superb game! ^_^

Ok there are 2 minor flaws with the game. To start, the game is absolutely easy and I expected more of a harder Zelda game but it's alright with me. As long as the game is fun and atmospheric, I like it. For the people who are new to the series, definitely get TP for it's difficulty but for those who are looking for a challenge, then try the previous 3D ones. Now the biggest flaw is the huge overworld. Don't get me wrong because the overworld is fantastic, but the main problem is that there's not alot of things to do. All you doing is running around Hyrule with big open, wide space. Of course there are enemies to fight and plenty of secrets to find but that's pretty much it. But like I said, no big deal because that's all I pretty much do is run around Hyrule on my trusty steed, Epona! ^^ So of course I will not criticize this game for those issues but I wish Nintendo put slightly more effort into it but regardless, it's still great!
In conclusion, this is definitely the best Zelda game in the series! Though I have stated million times that Ocarina of Time is the best game ever but I'm just going to rephrase that and say that OoT will always remain my personal favorite Zelda game of all time, because it's just as highly addictive and a true masterpiece! So to date, TP is hands down the greatest Zelda game ever created! 10/10 :D
