User Rating: 10 | The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess WII
Wow. Where do I begin. This game, to say the least, has had an important impact on how I view games as a whole. And I say this because of a few reasons I'd like to explain to you.

Now don't think this review is going to be all me kissing this games butt because of my biased opinions based on my experience playing the game, but because I do have very little to call this game on, it will be very difficult to find the bad as much as the good in this game.

Now, I think to really appreciate this game you have to a certain love for the style it was made in. For example, some people would prefer the cel-shaded graphics of The Windwaker over the more... Realistic, fashion of The Twilight Princess. For this reason, I would say that anyone reading this should try to understand how this game might work out in another person's point of view, so obviously ratings can vary. I can tell you one thing though, that I will try my hardest to stick to the basic factors. Gameplay, the impact it had on the series, but I will go on to say that this is my all time favourite Zelda game, and my favourite game on the Wii thus far.

Now. Onto the review.

This game is a very epic, and theatrical game to say the least. A very dark-ish type of storyline for a Zelda game, I would definately say Nintendo stepped out of their bounds a little for this one. That being said, I think this was a very much needed step in the right direction, for the more mature gamers, (Amazingly not too much like myself) this would come as a pleasant surprise I'm sure. For some of the more E-Rated gamers, (I'll admit, a little like myself) I'm sure all hell froze over. Haha. Just kidding. But you atleast get where I'm coming from, eh?

What I'm trying to say is, different people have different reactions to games.

I'll try to keep this short in saying though, that I think that this game has had a generally positive impact on the series. And definitely gave me a better appreciation, and respect for the series, not that it was ergently needed. (Ocarina of Time, yeah.) I think it definitely gave the series more options, and I hope that in the future, the developers will consider this kind of game again. Just the depth, and the storyline is what drove me to complete that next puzzle, that next puzzle, even though it sometimes was a pain as the game did feel like I was going through the motions a bit at times with the temples.

Now, though I would have loved the controls of the sword and shield to be more like the ones I'm sure we'll be seeing in later titles, i.e. Skyward Sword (Exited, hell yeah!) And I would have loved it to be more than just a flick of the wrist, as it is with most games now. That did not, however, affect my rating of the game as at that time it did feel way better than simply pressing a button. I have to point out that my favourite method of using those controls was at the third boss in the lakebed temple, stabbing my sword into the eye of that giant fish, I was able to hold my Wiimote in a way similer to the way that Link was stabbing the boss in the eye.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my review, and please, if you have any suggestions, comments, or constructive criticism, please feel free to contact me, send me a message (or, you could always review my review, I'd like that.) Haha. I hope to see you all next time, I don't quite know what I'll review next, and if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear 'em.
