It's Dangerous to Go Alone...

User Rating: 6 | The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes 3DS

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is our replacement for the supposed "2015 Wii U release," and while it has lots of enjoyment in it, it serves as a disappointing Zelda title that will be long forgotten. First, I'm going to talk about the pros. of this game. The best feature this game gives is its driving selling point, luckily: the multiplayer. T.Heroes is the first online/local multiplayer Zelda game, and it delivers. You might experience a BIT of lag online, but mostly it'll be fine. Local multiplayer just as good, too. Another great part of this game are the costumes. You can collect costumes that grant you magical attributes that will INDEED help you on your journey through the Drab-Lands. The way you get these costumes is to obtain items on your adventures, and bring all the necessary tools back to Madame Couture's and she will make you a costume. Though it takes a good amount of time to dot his, you WILL BE SATISFIED when you get the costume. Another great part of this game is the dungeon layouts. This was a big change compared to traditional Zelda dungeons. Three items are lade out for three players. Each item will change the more you progress the game. Sometimes a dungeon will provide three of the SAME items, although others will have TWO of the same and one unique item. The way you share these items is vital to the way you and your fellow adventurers complete the dungeons. If one of you are a dunce and pick the unique item, then your party might have a tough time completing said tasks and puzzles, which might lead to a complete failure to complete the dungeon. What's worse, you all SHARE hearts, so you all have to be cautious on getting hit, because you only have 3 fairies to heal you. The biggest problem with the dungeons is picking the dungeon to play. If you are playing online and localy then a roulette will appear with your picked region's dungeons. If you want to play a SPECIFIC dungeon to obtain items or progress the game, you are going to find it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT if someone wants to play another dungeon. You might even have to play a dungeon you have ALREADY beat!! This is incredibly annoying, although I can see why they might of had to do this. That's all for the dungeons, let's talk about single player. This game really forces you to play with other people. If you don't want to play with online players (avoiding trolls or delayed dungeon attempts) or just straight up don't have any friends, there IS a single player. Too bad it isn't very GOOD. At first the controls are easy to learn and pick up, but the more you go, so tasks are straight up IMPOSSIBLE. The game forces you to do things that are OBVIOUSLY MEANT FOR MULTIPLAYER that make you do things that will stop you from completing a dungeon!!! This became SO annoying that I almost threw my 3ds at the wall!! My overall "dislike' with the game is not anything that has to do with hardware, gameplay, or anything like that. My biggest issue with the game is just that it doesn't have much to do BESIDES playing dungeons. Sure there IS an arena mode, but I rarely sought out to that. (I even almost FORGOT about that mode.) What I'm trying to say is that the game is a bit stale, on the BORING side. It is a small Zelda game that I'm sure NONE of us wanted or thought about getting in the first place. Zelda games just ARE NOT meant to be games that you finish in a blink with nothing else to do. THIS GAME HAS ALMOST NO STORY!!!!! THE STORY IN THIS GAME IS A GIRL WHO IS STUCK IN A LEOTARD AND CAN'T GET IT OFF, THEREFORE SHE WANTS YOU TO FIGHT A WITCH TO STOP THE CURSE!!!!!! Also, there is not a SINGLE side-quest in this game!! WHY?!?!? SO in my opinion Triforce Heroes is a "good" game, though it doesn't deliver to the expectations of fellow Zelda fans, and is much smaller than we'd like it to be. Therefore I give this game a 6 out of 10. Did you like this EXTRA LONG review?? Please follow me so I can get famous and be a millionare!! BYE
