Fun at times but far too easy.

When I first saw the graphics for this game I was disgusted that they would go away from a look that brought Nintendo so much success. Now that I have played it, I can make some observations.

First, the game is fun. I did play it alot all the way up to beating it. But after I was done, I felt rather empty handed compared to previous Zelda games like OoT and Majora's Mask.

The biggest gripe I have with the game is the difficulty. I think this game was geared for a younger crowd because this game was just cake to beat. The bosses were simple and I noticed that if I ever stopped just searching for sidequests, I would get through the game very fast because everything was so easy. Nintendo definitely needs to realize that its most hard core Zelda fans are not young teenagers.

Also, despite the innovation in the graphics, I think that it still doesn't compare to previous games. I want to feel like I am playing something real not a cartoon which is exactly what this game was. It left the game feeling very childish without a real sense of drama. I think that this is why Nintendo went back to the older graphics for the new Zelda game coming out for the gamecube.

Overall, this is a decent game but nothing compared to Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask if you are looking for a somewhat difficult game with an intriguing story and drama. Wind Waker just fails to deliver on these things.

P.S.- The Ocarina is so much better as an instrument than the little wand. I'm sorry but the songs for Wind Waker were just corny. You know that the songs aren't memorable when you can't memorize any of the songs from Wind Waker yet you can conjure up Epona's song or Saria's song whenever you please... or any other OoT song for that matter.
